Bridge on Manchester City

Former Chelsea and Manchester City defender Wayne Bridge believes that Manchester City will win the title this season. He said that the team has made tremendous progress since Pep Guardiola has taken over as the coach and that he is sure that they will be able to retain their title this time around.

Wayne Bridge said that Pep Guardiola has turned the team into a formidable machine and that it will be difficult for the opposition to stop them. He said that the team was strong last season and that Manchester City has again improved the team by signing RiyadMahrez. He said that not only the first team is strong they also have some good strength in depth.

Wayne Bridge believes that their closest challenger will be Liverpool but he does not believe that they will be able to stop Manchester City. He said that Jurgen Klopp has improved Liverpool a lot since he has taken charge of the team.

The former Manchester City player said that Liverpool has arguably the best strikers in Europe at the moment and that they can score against any opposition. However, he believes that their weaknesses lie that they do not have enough substitutes on the bench and this can hurt them if ever one of Mane, Salah and Firminho get injured. He believes that the Anfield side relies too much on these players and that this can be a problem in a competition such as the Premier League.

Concerning his former club Chelsea, he said that the team has been improving under Maurizio Sarri and that they will finish in the top four. He said that it will take time however for them to turn into a title contender but he believes that the former Napoli coach is the right man for the job.
