Louis Van Gaal sees MC in top four Place

Manchester United boss Louis Van Gaal says that he sees arch rivals Manchester City being involved in the same top four race as his club are at the moment.

The prospects of United winning the title appeared to vanish a long time ago, but they have managed to close the gap to table leaders Chelsea in recent weeks. More importantly, they are very close to overtaking rivals Manchester City. United enjoyed a 3-0 win over Tottenham this weekend while City suffered yet another shock defeat in the league after losing 1-0 to relegation threatened Burnley.

This was a second league defeat for City in the last three matches, while there could be more waiting in the pipeline if they produce a similar poor performance against Barcelona in the Champions League on Wednesday. These defeats have reduced their significant advantage in the table. A two-point deficit with more than eight matches remaining has given United a lot of confidence that they can even sneak into the second place, which seemed improbable a few months ago. Van Gaal recently termed the top four race as a rat race and he now says that City are also involved in it even if they do not like it. Continue reading Louis Van Gaal sees MC in top four Place

Jose Mourinho questions FFP of MC

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has questioned the FFP commitment of Manchester City after they brought in Wilfried Bony for close to £ 30 million from Swansea. City were found guilty of breaching the FFP regulations in the first period of monitoring.

Clubs were allowed to make only around £ 45 million in losses even with the backing from rich benefactors. City breached this limit for the first period of monitoring. They were given several sanctions and a hefty penalty fee for failing to comply with the regulations. The second period of FFP will see clubs allowed only around £ 30 million of losses over three years. Continue reading Jose Mourinho questions FFP of MC

Manuel Pellegrini position Risked at MC

Manuel Pellegrini’s managerial job at Manchester City is rumored to be at risk after the Chilean coach lost against CSKA Moscow in their latest Champions League encounter and now the chances of Manchester city advancing to the next stages of the European tournament are extremely slim.

Manchester City are the current champions of the Premier League and if Pellegrini can somehow manage to retain the English League title then it will still be a fairly good season but things are also looking to be difficult in the Premier League as Chelsea and Southampton are ahead of Manchester City and the recent defeats against West Ham United and Newcastle United has put Manuel Pellegrini under heavy pressure.

If Manuel Pellegrini is not able on protecting the Premier League title of Manchester City or if more disappointing results continue emerging then Pellegrini is already being rumored to be sacked and replaced by Athletic Madrid’s Diego Simeone.

Diego Simeone is an experienced manager that was able to win the Spanish League title in the previous season as he snatched the silverware from under the hands of Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Bayern Munich’s Pep Guardiola is another manager that is being rumored to turn into the next coach of Manchester City if Pellegrini is not able to win a major piece of silverware in this season, however, Pep Guardiola is the highest paid manager in the world of football as he earns £12.5m which means that the head authorities of Manchester City will have to go deep in their pockets in order to even lure the attention of Guardiola away from his current club, Bayern Munich.

All of these are nothing but rumors and none of these could happen as long as Manuel Pellegrini is able to make a genuine title defending season but it hasn’t been happening as Chelsea has a healthy lead over the team of Manuel Pellegrini and Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea aren’t showing any signs of stopping or slowing down.
